Pearl River, NY -- (6/9/16) Tom DePrisco, candidate for the 38th Senate District in New York, today released the following statement:
I have a question concerning the recent published report that the NRC asked its staff to conduct a reevaluation of the Severe Accident Mitigation Analysis involving the underestimation of decontamination and clean-up costs associated with a severe accident. Does this cost include private property owned by homeowners and businesses? If so, how extensive would the clean-up be? I ask this because I was heavily involved with developing recovery protocols for the Ground Zero area after 9/11 and understand how extensive and costly clean-up and recovery operations can be."
Tom DePrisco is a resident of Pearl River. He serves as the Vice President of the Pearl River School District School Board and the Rockland County School Boards Association. For more information visit www.TomDePrisco.com.
