New City, NY -- (6/3/16) Tom DePrisco of Pearl River was formally nominated yesterday by the Rockland Republican Committee as its nominee for the 38th Senate District in New York.
Rockland County Legislator, Laurie Santulli, who nominated Tom DePrisco spoke about his character and background.
Legislator Santulli stated, "I feel honored to stand in front of all of you tonight to nominate Tom DePrisco as the Republican candidate for the 38th Senate District in New York."
She added, "He has made decisions that put the best interest of others first. These decisions brought him to settle in Pearl River and become active in the community in which he now lives. It’s through this activism that I have witnessed what makes Tom stand out above other candidates. He is not a career politician. Tom sees where action is needed to be taken in his community and he steps up to help out. His decision to run for the Pearl River School Board was when the district was facing the Great Recession. Tom approached this position with the students and taxpayers in mind. He looked to advocate as well as provide financial relief for those he represents. This balance is no easy task."
After his nomination, Tom DePrisco commented, "I was deeply honored and gratified to be nominated last evening by the Rockland County Republican Party for the 38th Senate District. I was honestly overwhelmed by the heartfelt words stated by Legislator Laurie Santulli."
Tom DePrisco is a resident of Pearl River. He serves as the Vice President of the Pearl River School District School Board and the Rockland County School Boards Association. For more information visit www.TomDePrisco.com.
